Our Story

The building where Luna Hotel is currently located started as a simple love affair with Kaş. Gordon and Marion, a couple from England, started visiting Kaş for the first time in the 1980s, like other tourists. They were amazed by the picturesque streets, warm seas and friendly locals. As usually happens when you can't get a place out of your mind, their trips became more frequent, until they finally decided to make Kaş, or rather the land where the Luna Hotel is located, their home. After finding a plot of land perfectly located between the city center and the quiet hillside, they set to work building their dream home. They carefully considered every detail, from the stonework that keeps the building cool in summer and warm in winter, to the cladding whose wood was collected from the local primary school and repurposed. A beautifully crafted building built by Kaş lovers for Kaş lovers.
In 2019, the property changed hands and was purchased by a local team and colleagues, Ahmet and Can. The building was renovated and Luna Hotel was born, ready to serve our guests with hospitality and warmth that would make Gordon and Marion proud. Ahmet, who has lived in Kaş all his life, does not plan to leave the town he loves very much. He was born into the tourism industry and learned everything there was to know about the hotel business at an early age, working in the guesthouse his family ran. Today, the business has become even more of a family “affair” with his wife, Marie, and their three children also helping with the business.
Can is also from Kaş and grew up in the tourism industry. He met his wife Gülşah on holiday in Izmit. Naturally, after Gülşah visited him in the magnificent seaside town of Kaş, he fell in love with the town as much as its inhabitants and was convinced to make it his home. Today, together with their two children, Can and Gülşah, as well as Ahmet and his family, they have turned Luna Hotel into a charming family business and work together.
