The building where Luna Hotel now stands started as a simple love affair with Kas. Gordon and Marion, a couple from the UK, began like any other tourists, visiting Kas for the first time in the 1980s. They were left in awe by the picturesque streets, warm seas, and friendly locals. As typically happens with you just can’t get a place out of your head, their trips became more frequent until they finally decided to make Kas, and more specifically, the land where Luna Hotel now sits, home. After finding a plot of land perfectly situated between the city center and the quiet hillside, they got to work building their dream home. From the stonework that keeps the building cool in summer and warm in winter, to the trim, the wood of which was recovered and repurposed from the local primary school, they carefully considered every detail. It’s a beautifully crafted building built by lovers of Kas, for lovers of Kas.
